金融英语阅读：France eyes jobless rate at 9% in 2011
PARIS, Nov.26 (Xinhua) -- With growing ranks of job seekers, France now aims at reducing the jobless rate to 9 percent next year amid improving economic data, local press said Friday."Our objective is to trim unemployment rate to 9 percent by the end of 2011 and this target is reachable," the daily Le Parisien quoted Christain Charpy, the general director of Pole Emploi, the French government agency for registering unemployment as saying.
"We notice a much slower growth of enrolment since the mid of the year," he added.
Jobless rate stood at 9.3 percent in the second quarter this year on France's mainland, slightly down from the 9.5 percent in the previous quarter, according to government statistics.
