金融英语阅读：China’s CCI to end growing trend
China's third-quarter consumer confidence index (CCI) to be released in two weeks will be lower than the second quarter's, bringing to an end its upward trend, said Mitch Barns, president of Nielsen Greater China for The Nielsen Company Tuesday.The CCI is jointly released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the Nielsen Company. Except the first quarter in 2009, the following five quarters all saw the consecutively growing number of the index. However in the second quarter of 2010, it (index) hit 109, only one point higher than the previous quarter.
The reason for the decline is still under analysis, and more details are expected to be seeable in two weeks, said Mitch Barns.
But among speculated reasons are the soaring food price and economic inflation.
