金融英语阅读：Central bankers converge in Singapore for int’l conference
SINGAPORE, Sept. 20 -- Senior officials from central banks and supervisory agencies from more than 100 countries and regions converged in Singapore on Monday for the 16th International Conference of Banking Supervisors (ICBS).Hosted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and jointly organized with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the officials will discuss key supervisory issues and foster continuing cooperation in international banking oversight.
The central bankers will discuss on "Towards a More Resilient Banking Sector" and "A Stable Financial Environment for Sustained Economic Growth."
Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Liu Mingkang, will give a keynote address in the 3-day meeting.
