Penetrate
用法:①If something or someone penetrate a physical object or an area, they succeed in getting into it or passing through it.
例句:The distance was more than 350 miles and there were ridges to cross and a wilderness of woods and swamps to penetrate.(1996-10)
②If someone penetrate an organization, a group, or a profession, they succeed in entering it although it is difficult to do so.
③If someone penetrates an enemy group or a rival organization, they succeed in joining it in order to get information or cause trouble.
④if a company or country penetrates a market or area, they succeed in selling their products there.
例句:In the hypersensitive response, cells undergo rapid necrosis—that is, they become diseased and die—after being penetrated by a parasite. (1996-01)

Perceive
用法:①If you perceive something, you see, notice, or realize it, especially when it is not obvious.
②If you perceive someone or something as doing or being a particular thing, it is your opinion that they do this thing or that they are that thing.
例句: How a speaker perceives the listener’s receptiveness, interest, or sympathy in any given conversation can drastically alter the tone of presentation, by encouraging or discouraging the speaker. (2000-01)
Although art deco in its many forms was largely perceived as thoroughly modern, it was strongly influenced by the decorative arts movements that immediately preceded it. (2001-01)
Many kinds of ants perceive a natural decomposition product of dead insects as a signal to remove a corpse. (2002-05)
