Reflect
用法:①If something reflects an attitude or situation, it shows that the attitude or situation exists or it shows what it is like.=show
例句:Partly this decline reflected the low level of births during the depression and the war, but it was also caused by changes in Canadian society.(1995-08)
Beads were probably the first durable ornaments humans possessed, and the intimate relationship they had with their owners is reflected in the fact that beads are among the most common items found in ancient archaeological sites.(1997-10)
②When light, heat or other rays reflect off a surface or when a surface reflects them, they are sent back from the surface and do not pass through it.
例句:One adaptation is to be light in color, and to reflect rather than absorb the Sun’s rays.(1997-01)
③When something is reflected in a mirror or in what, you can see its image in the mirror or in the water.

Render
用法:①You can render with an adjective that describes a particular state to say that someone or something is changed in to that state. For example, it someone or something makes a thing harmless, you can say that they render it harmless.
例句:Rapid ecological change may render an environment hostile to a species.(2002-08)
When they fly, however, brightly colored hind wings are exposed, which render the moths highly conspicuous. (2005-08)
Construction a fantastic environment for the benefit of tourists, he made sure that any real tensions between his office and the working inhabitants of the town were rendered invisible to the tourist gaze. (2005-08)
②If you render someone help pr service, you help them.
③To render something in a particular language or in a particular way means to translate it into that language or in that way.

Resolve
用法:①To resolve a problem, argument or difficulty means to find a solution to it.
例句:They offer sympathy when someone experiences difficulties or is subjected to discipline, are quick to lighten a serious moment with humor, and try to resolve issues that threaten to divide the group.(2000-05)
Earth-based telescopes can resolve objects as small as a few hundred meters on the lunar surface. (2002-08)
②If you resolve to do something , you make a firm decision to do it.
③Resolve is determination to do what you have decided to do.
