专四常见词辨析：“收成”与“哭泣”
crop, harvest, yield这些名词均含有“收成”之意。
crop : 普通用词，侧重指农作物一次收割或一季的收成。 Because of the spring rains, the farmers had a bounteous crop. （因为下了春雨,农夫获得了丰收。）
harvest : 主要指农作物或水果的收获量，有时也指收割的行为。
There was a good harvest that year.（那一年收成好。）
yield : 指生产物，农作物的总产量。
All these have helped raise farm yields steadily.（所有这些都有助于农业产量的稳步提高。）
cry, weep, sob
这3个动词均有“哭”之意。
cry : 普通用词。指因痛苦、悲哀或伤感等出声地哭。
The baby can cry as soon as he is born.（婴儿生下来就会哭 。）
weep : 书面用词，指小哭或无声地哭，侧重流泪。
She wept her sad fate.（她为她的悲惨命运而哭泣。）
sob : 指抽泣、呜咽。
The child started to sob when he couldn't find his mother.（孩子因找不到他妈妈哭了起来。）
