Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) is in talks with companies in China over potential investments in the mainland, Fahad Al-Swailem vice-president of the company's polyolefins unit, said in a South China Morning Post report. 5 K- s* y2 C" _; ]
& P! j1 H% s- b2 C6 p5 g; [( DThe company hopes to form alliances or co-invest with potential mainland partners on manufacturing as part of its strategy to tap the China market.

"We are talking to a number of parties in China and we are optimistic that something will be happening in this area in the future," Al-Swailem said.
