  2、 常见倒装搭配
- M1 n  t9 c+ ?; ~# N % g$ n! E3 d6 F1 _
  (1)、及物动词加介词:固定词组的固定搭配中,经常出现倒装情况,如:bring A to B,写作:bring to B A
( a7 M7 O3 Q0 e4 y * I1 N$ [/ Y: X/ m/ a/ w
  例:Yet Waltzer’s argument , however deficient , does point to one of the most serious weaknesses of capitalism-namely , that it brings to predominant positions in a society people who ,no matter how legitimately they have earned their material rewards , often lack those other qualities that evoke affection or admiration.; r* C% E  \) F; P

2 K! Z3 b; O, U$ L' ^0 H$ K  类似的情况:throw over , insert into , import into , infer from, establish for , advocate as 等  g1 Z" R* n' O

  3、 省略的几种情况

' V) [: O' a/ X/ T  (1)、重复的成分# C, X3 `' g% y' l! V$ c1 T- Q

: h+ \/ x/ t; ~) u) U  (2)、让步转折的省略:如although (but)
* Q# [# |8 G5 ?7 t' N" b0 I; {$ h
1 C/ E4 N9 s& ?4 T: `4 o  (3)、定语从句引导词的省略which(that )
. P9 f$ M+ {4 O( U& c5 C 7 }' b+ V5 A4 s- E
  (4)、定语从句的引导词和系动词同时省略,变成后置定语  q' t. j  J. }: `$ ]3 C: p

1 u3 I& |3 V' g' c4 F" Y' ^  如:qualities(such as “the capacity for hard work”) essential in producing wealth% y- {' _9 m6 u8 r. l

( p( G6 C8 M' z  |/ X  4、 短语被分割:如:

. m* {! {+ t+ {# m' m. X  J    such as, so that , too to , more than , from A to B , between A and B4 p9 ~& r0 r6 m4 w1 o+ I

4 ]: U3 Q; s9 E  5、 多重否定:如:
- E$ d. R! w  W2 W4 U 1 M6 D+ D. v, b4 H, N; b/ i1 |% O9 |2 U
  Despite these vague categories , one should not claim unequivocally that hostility between recognizable classes cannot be legitimately observed .
