, f0 G  V! b8 Y6 N5 \" X- @7 @ Little wonder their latest survey concludes that the extent and type of hospital teaching available differ a great deal across the country .____________(48) A further quarter has only a part –time teacher . the special children’s hospitals in major cities do best; general hospitals in the country and holiday areas are worst off.
6 J% w! Q3 a2 ]( z( f, H  From this survey , one can estimate that fewer than one in five children have some contact with a hospital teacher--- and that contact may be as little as two hours a day. Most children interview were surprised to find a teacher in hospital at all. They had not been prepared for it by parents for it by parents or their own school. If there was a teacher, they were much more likely to read books and do math or number work.____________(49)' t3 o0 X3 ?% J9 q" V# }
  Reasons for hospital teaching range from preventing a child falling behind and maintaining the habit of school to keeping a child occupied , and the latter is often all the teacher can do . the position and influence of many teachers was summed up when parents referred to them as “the library lady” or just “ the helper”. Children tend to rely on concerned school friends to keep in touch with school work. Several parents spoke of requests for work being ignored or refused by the school.__________(50)

6 R7 Z0 |& {6 h1 w) @6 i$ w8 o  答案解析:7 h( e# s; _$ p. J4 Y& v/ l$ K6 i
$ i- r3 G5 |  q# z  y% }% }  47 C 前一句提到我们知道,本句是对上句进一步的说明,因此we also know 与前一句的we know 形成递进的关系。
1 w6 {) o. j  Q; h6 s.
7 Z7 O' i: D4 @9 Q0 j3 j# o* h  C
