(Peopledaily, June 23, 2008)--The output value of China's software industry, at 59.3 billion yuan in 2000, developed to 583.4 billion yuan in 2007; and software exports developed from 400 million U.S. dollars in 2000 to 10.24 billion U.S. dollars in 2007. At the end of 2007, there were 1.5 million employees in the software industry. The turnover of 40 software enterprises had exceeded 1 billion yuan, according to information provided at the 6th China International Software and Information Service Fair held on June 19.
