翻译技巧：地道翻译句中所含否定句07

英语中某些词或词组也可以用来表示否定，尽管在形式上是肯定的，可句意是否定的，所以翻译时要考虑到这一点。如：副词beyond，介词except，动词avoid，stop， hate，fail（及名词failure）及一些短语free from ，free of，instead of，be out of等在句中的含义。例如：

The library opens everyday except Sunday．

I will do anything but that．

The bridge is anything but safe．
那桥一点也不安全。
