　　à 132 kilomètres carrés, Hyères est une ville très étendue. Cette commune fran?aise, qui fait partie de la communauté d'agglomération Toulon Provence Méditerranée (TPM), se trouve dans le département du Var (83) et la région Provence-Alpes-C?te d'Azur (PACA). C'était en effet à Hyères que le terme C?te d'Azur a été inventé par l'écrivain fran?ais Stéphane Liégeard.

　　With 132 square kilometers (about 51 square miles), Hyères is a very spread-out town. This French municipality, which is part of the urban conglomeration Toulon Provence Méditerranée (TPM), is in the Var department (code 83) and the Provence-Alpes-C?te d'Azur region (PACA). In fact it was in Hyères that the French writer Stéphane Liégeard coined the term C?te d'Azur (azure coast).
( Z9 b+ A6 g4 b* u3 q( V　　J'ai mentionné l'année dernière que le nom complet d'Hyères est Hyères-les-Palmiers, mais le nom aurait pu être Hyères-les-Orangers. à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, Hyères était un village entouré de plantations d'orangers. Le fruit était transporté, à dos de mules, au port de la Tour Fondue. Les agrumes étaient transportés à Marseille et puis ils remontaient le Rh?ne pour être livrés dans des villes fran?aises et exportés vers l'Angleterre. Cela a donc été le commerce des oranges qui a fait conna?tre Hyères, mais les charmes actuels sont un peu différents. Dans les semaines à venir, je vais écrire une série d'articles sur cette belle ville et ses environs.
- g5 e) S0 k* A$ J) V; M　　我去年曾经提到过，耶尔市的全名是Hyères-les-Palmiers(棕榈之城耶尔)，但也许称之为Hyères-les-Orangers(橘树之城耶尔)也不错。18世纪末，耶尔是个被橘树果园包围的城市。柑橘由骡子驼到Tour Fondue港口，从那儿运往马赛。随后沿着隆河逆流而上，销往法国的各个城市或是出口到英国。正是柑橘生意让耶尔出了名，但现在耶尔的魅力已经有所变化。在接下去的几周里，我会写一系列文章介绍美丽的耶尔和她周围的美景。
　　Last year I mentioned that the full name of Hyères is Hyères-les-Palmiers (Hyères the palm trees), but the name could have been Hyères-les-Orangers (Hyères the orange trees). At the end of the 18th century, Hyères was a village surrounded by orange tree plantations. The fruit was transported on the backs of mules to the Tour Fondue port. The citrus was shipped to Marseille and then it went up the Rh?ne to be delivered to French cities and exported to England. So it was the orange trade that put Hyères on the map, but the current attractions are a bit different. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to write a series of articles about this beautiful town and its surroundings.
