The lockless door 不锁之门
It went many years,
) I2 k. \/ i% ^& O& \* JBut at last came a knock,
9 w! `4 m0 c& a( C, dAnd I though of the door
With no lock to lock.
过了许多年时光，
忽听得敲门声响，
我想起门没有锁，
% S" b$ u7 I/ H4 ]3 u我怎能将它锁上。
7 z$ S$ R6 ?4 g- S3 pI blew out the light,
. b5 n" _* ~, e8 t0 A" w+ QI tip-toed the floor,
And raised both hands
In prayer to the door.
我旋即吹灭了灯，
* O, b( ^4 O2 f$ y" r轻轻走在地板上，
又悄悄举起双手，
# j" ~! L2 T! R/ G对着门祷告思量。
6 E/ X+ u& o, m. }1 a9 gBut the knock came again.
0 \" H; P6 K3 Q2 e5 ]My window was wide;
I climbed on the sill
And descended outside.
敲门声又响起来！
我看见窗户洞开，
于是偷偷爬上去，
& @8 P) ?* A* @, J; @4 G" s% _一闪身跳到窗外。
. ?2 V/ U; O2 RBack over the sill
I bade a “Come in”
To whatever the knock
At the door may have been.
/ M7 A% n! d; _7 Q4 S我转身探进脑袋，
喊了一声：进来！
6 A% B2 M! ?0 D9 r管它敲门的是谁，
, Q4 \; E. i* }% K$ ~有什么可以奇怪。
So at a knock
I emptied my cage
0 d6 H1 p) v& OTo hide in the world
And alter with age.
/ ]9 F) t4 N3 L" Q, c. {4 h就这样一声门响，
+ G  _0 q, b1 s% c: x8 N我居然跳了出来，
投身不锁的世界，
随岁月漂流在外。

  _( p4 I0 E+ M! \罗伯特·弗罗斯特（Robert ·Frost ）（1874—1963)，美国农民诗人。生于加利福尼亚州。弗罗斯特常被称为“交替性的诗人”，意指他处在传统诗歌和现代派诗歌交替的一个时期。他又被认为与艾略特同为美国现代诗歌的两大中心。
