本期重点：介词短语和固定搭配　　介词短语就是由多个词构成的介词，如because of，in spite of等;固定搭配则指习语和一些常见的固定用法，即由名词、形容词、动词等和介词或者副词构成的短语，如influence on, different from, rely on 等。无论是介词短语还是固定搭配，考点常常对准介词，出现介词误用的情况;除此之外，对固定搭配的考查也常常涉及搭配中的冠词和名词单复数等问题，如将in contrast误用为in the contrast，keep one’s words误用为keep one’s word等等。
　　一、例题精析：
　　例1： But to sociologists, to be
　　human is to be cultured, because of culture is the common world S7.______
　　of experience we share with other members of our group.
　　解析：分析句子的结构可知，because of 后面是一个完整的句子。当表示原因时because of 后跟名词，because 后跟句子，所以此处的of应该去掉。
　　例2：If you are sending your CV electronically, check the
　　formatting by sending it to yourself first. Keep up S8_________
　　the format simple.
　　解析：keep up意为“坚持，维持”;keep表示“保持”，可以在后面加宾语及其补足语。
　　例3：As we know, smoking not only gives harm to smokers’ health, 1. __________
　　but also non-smokers who live with them.
　　解析：此处考查固定搭配do harm to，意为“对…有害”，所以此处的gives应改为does。
　　例4：There may be sound medical reasons for accepting electrical
　　shock treatment, but such reasons are totally dependent in the balance of 75. ____risks and benefits for the patients.
　　解析：dependent on 意思为“依靠，依赖”，而没有dependent in 这种用法。所以这里应该将in改为on。

　　巩固与拓展：
　　1.head -> mind 本题考查固定搭配keep in mind的用法，意思为“记住”。
　　2.Rooms后加with 本题考查fill sth with sth 的用法，意思为“使…充满…，使…填满…”。注意还有be filled with，be full of 的用法，两个的意思同样为“填满了、充满了”。
　　3.consisted后加of consist为不及物动词，如果要再后面跟宾语的话应先加上of，意思为“由…构成”。
　　4.make -> take take advantage of 为固定搭配，意思为“利用”，与其同样意思的词组还有make use of。
　　5.by -> for
　　综合练习：
　　1.for -> as
　　介词误用。根据句意，此处意思是“作为”的意思，故用as。
　　2.去掉第一个in
　　句子结构混乱。此处定语从句的关系副词为where，证明从句缺地点状语;live后面如果使用in，那么从句就只却宾语，所以将in去掉。
　　3.smallest -> biggest
　　逻辑错误。整篇文章讲的都是纽约城洛克菲勒地区的建设如何完善和巨大，因此它成为“城中城”，可见此处要说的是“它是同类型项目中最大的一个”，故将smallest改为biggest
　　4.has -> have
　　主谓不一致。定语从句的谓语动词应该和先行词保持一致，此处先行词为复数，所以谓语动词用have。
　　5.are -> were
　　整篇文章的基本时态为一般过去时，此处依然将过去的事情，故将are改为were。
　　6.erect -> erected
　　此处是典型的被动语态，系动词后面要使用过去分词。
　　7.primary -> primarily
　　词性混淆。此处应该用副词修饰动词resulted。
　　8.were -> was
　　主谓不一致。本句的主语为A Sunken plaza，而complete with yards and fountains只是插入语，所以谓语动词要用单数。
　　9.in -> to
　　此处access to 意为“通向…的入口”，与其相关的词组还有have access to(to为介词) ,意思为“有权利…，有机会做…” 。
　　10.attraction -> attractions
　　名次单复数问题。前面有了one of，attraction又时可数名词，故使用复数
