本期重点:冠词   冠词主要考查不定冠词和定冠词的混淆。还有的是考查一些固定搭配,例如on the other hand, for instance / example(中间没有an)等。$ n; b" ]$ W  b( @9 c5 O
  考点解析:+ F! ]2 L% g" z; o6 K* Y( z+ p
  例1:With occasional breaks for war, the rates of death
6 }0 z) ~* q; d( k) ]! d2 R$ M  and infection in the Europe and America dropped steadily S5._________8 U! H! t1 o" F3 F
  through the 19th and 20th centuries.
. L8 Z4 Y( c4 y  i6 }, j- w  解析:定冠词the通常表示特指。Europe是专有名词,无需加定冠词特指。: w+ V4 y. m6 O
  例2:Their experiments have shown that reading disorders* p# J/ j( ^# {" J' Y# a! w9 g

  8.creature -> creatures
4 s8 Z0 t4 I1 v# Q2 G  由定语of all shapes and sizes可以推出被修饰的词应该是复数。! Y! r) O& _( f6 Y
  9. have -> having
. h. K( o' P! e  简单句不能有两个独立的主谓结构,而此处的have a pet要做句子的主语,故应该使用动名词形式。- C$ P0 S0 R* ]3 j* }! g# w

  of是介词,后面要跟名词
