  1.due-undue; p: h4 d  M! l% V1 ~
  如果是due absoption,就没有必要说two dangers to guarded against,所以这里犯了语义颠倒的错误。
+ j: k& G+ b1 w5 f  T  f5 h  2.work-do- y& [& i) D7 V& N' y
  work在这里用得不好,应该为do,表示“能……”,work往往表示“行不行得通”,如:It does not work to employ two people. We need at least 5.0 J, @4 _* _% J! M- L8 A8 I
  3.^which-about
! f. t) V( s1 ~8 {- L' B7 K  这里缺少了介词about,使先行词things 和something to be done无法连接。6 [4 U- {) \- k( s% J
  4.for-to
4 J$ ], t+ ]: a  to think for oneself表示“为自己着想”,这这里显然不是这个意思,应改为to oneself 表示“自己想……”,类似于to say to oneself。: n  \% b( v" b: o8 t" m& {& J9 o
  5.are(used)-/: G8 B3 e; u9 j4 V- w8 }
  be used to 表示“习惯于……”,而这里的意思是“过去曾经……”,所以应改为used to do。
$ X" B) `, A& ~; f, H# e: k  6.^hope-the
# `, ~7 @/ |' V$ f% n3 J  词组in the hope of 或 in hopes of 表示“怀着……的希望”。
/ e% n# D% @* X: ?  7.growing-grown
5 z) x* W$ h/ S8 b9 ?/ p  be growing up 表示“在成长的过程中”,而这里表示的是“当孩子们长大以后……”,所以应改为are grown up。
& D5 b! s' F5 a8 M+ l* s4 m  f. v  8.except-unless" J2 Y/ L! `- J- Z6 q
  except表示“除了……之外”,在意思上不贴切,应改为unless表示“除非……”。/ _. Q: J1 s7 R) r9 w2 y
  9.contemplatory-contemplative
; Q% p) J! S. f8 T2 R) w/ `; [0 w7 Y  没有contemplatory这个词,有的是contemplative,表示“沉思的,冥想的”& S; z4 I$ j& x
  10.infantry-infancy
6 U4 J' C; r2 ^3 O: v) c3 U  u  infantry表示“步兵,步兵团”,应该为infancy,表示“幼年”。
