Efforts are to be made to capture a red squirrel found on a wildlife holiday cruise boat.

P z6 i( z9 x+ ]* q The "stowaway" was thought to have fled to The Majestic Line's Glen Massan vessel following a territorial dispute with another squirrel, or being frightened by a bird of prey.

% N6 a5 o- A) d& ~7 v( u: m0 c3 O It has been on the Heritage and Wildlife of South Argyll Cruise since Monday morning.5 A/ u2 D. p0 P5 C
, u5 Y8 E$ `3 ]3 x The squirrel was spotted after the boat anchored in Loch Riddon.

It was first sighted by Canadian professional photographer Steve Boyton.' u$ L9 M* E) ~' b* N% ^

Initial efforts to catch the animal were unsuccessful.1 D$ q, X# T6 M9 n3 I

He said he was optimistic that the squirrel would be caught unharmed and in good health.
