在教授GMAT，GRE，TOEFL，雅思，考研，CET这些所有考试的写作部分时，我常会给学生补充一些在写作中可以用到的名言，同时我也说过，名言其实除了引用以外，它最大的能量在于它的举一反三的功能，也就是我们可以引用名言，还要学会改写名言，最后成为那种说出来后“似曾相识”的语言，比如，在课堂上，说到“友谊”这个话题时，我给学生讲了一句话“Friends can be few， but must be well chosen”，很多同学听后会觉得朗朗上口，似曾相识，为什么?其实这句话并非小宝老师完全原创，而且改写了Samuel Patterson 的名言“Books can be few， but must be well chosen”。下面给大家列出我们在各类考试中常用，并且非常适合改写的名言。 Education commences at the mother's knee, and every word spoken within the hearsay of children tends towards the formation of character. —— Hosea Ballou British educator
